Dangly blue earrings by dakota rae dust.
Bright and colourful, bold statement jewellery, designed to bring a POP of colour to your day.
Whether you're searching for a gift for a colour loving friend or after treat for yourself . . . this might just be the perfect pair?!
Each dangly earring features a decorative disc and teardrop, suspended below a circular stud. Each component has been cut from new and recycled fabrics, and embellished with vinyl patterns.
Each component is backed for durability and is backed with recycled blue fabric, meaning whichever way you swing them the earrings will look equally colourful. (see product shots for a view of the reverse side of these colourful earrings)
Each component in these colourful, dangly earrings is articulated with a surgical steel jump ring to give the earrings plenty of movement.
The flash of fluorescent fabric seen in these earrings was once offcuts of sari fabric. I brought the fabric several years ago in India, and after commissioning a tailor in Kolkata to turn some of it into a kimono style jacket I brought the leftover fabric home to repurpose.
The blue fabrics are a mix of charity shop bought garments and well worn garments donated by friends. All are machine washed before their reincarnation takes place and they begin their new life as playful pieces of textile jewellery.
These colourful, blue, dangly earrings fasten with a surgical steel stud, making them a good choice for anyone with sensitive ears or a nickel allergy.
Each colourful earring measures roughly 7cm long by 3cm wide.
